A new face for Lotus Elise

So far, we know that a new Elise may come as early as 2011, based on the fact that Tesla does not plan to sell the current generation Roadster after 2011 due to planned tooling changes at a supplier for the Tesla Roadster (earlier post).

However, for the time being, Lotus has decided to give a new fish-eyed face to the Elise, incorporating also the obligatory Daytime Running Lights. Along the restyled rear bumper and the new alloy wheel design, important changes are found under the hood with the introduction of a new entry-level 'S' model powered by a Toyota-sourced 1.6-liter engine.
