Lotus Evora electrified

The press release has been published a few days ago, but no good images were released. Now though, photos from Geneva Motor Show are available and this is the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid concept in flesh.

The 414E has 408 hp and massive torque of 800 Nm. If you think that there is a big petrol engine, you will be disappointed. There is just a three-cylinder engine producing 47 hp, which is used to charge the batteries (Li-Ion). The batteries are good for 35 miles.

There are two electric motors, one for each rear wheel, and Lotus has employed HALOsonic Internal and External Electronic Sound Synthesis systems to make the 414E sound like a "real" car.
