Do you remember the Cygnet concept? Well, if it doesn't ring any bells, back in June, Aston Martin revealed information about a concept for its new 20k city car! The actual car will be a tiny Toyota iQ-based commuter car redesigned inside and out, and will be sold to existing and future Aston owners from the end of 2010.
Now, it's time for Rolls-Royce to go ahead with a similar project, as BMW is about to give the green light for an ultra luxury version of Mini. Of course, it will be trimmed at the Rolls-Royce factory in Goodwood and as you can imagine, the cars will be totally individual.
Niche vehicles seems to be a smart way for high-end brands to ensure that will be around for years to come by bringing extra cash and avoiding tough CO2 regulations.
